About WWIP

The Water & Wastewater Internship Program (WWIP) is an exciting collaboration between local water and wastewater authorities, designed to offer participants 18 and older a paid, hands-on introduction to the industry. This immersive program allows interns to work alongside industry professionals, gain practical experience, and explore diverse career opportunities in a critical and rewarding field.
Whether you’re a veteran, considering a career change, a recent graduate, or a current student, this program is tailored for individuals ready to make an impact while learning the essential skills needed for success in the water and wastewater industry.

INTERNSHIP PROGRAM DETAILS

  • Approx. ten-week program during the summer months of June – August
  • Monday-Thursday work week; typical schedule of 7 am – 3 pm with a paid half hour lunch
  • Pay is offered at $18.50 per hour
